Fungible imagery is the default of machine publishing: any sunset, any silhouette, any “cinematic” gradient. Swap the file, keep the layout, call it done. That is how fifty pages become one page wearing different skins.
OYOTTA’s Above Clouds preview and its keyframe set are not decoration buckets. They are a continuous record of a specific body of work. A still taken at keyframe 0057 is not interchangeable with 0012 because the film’s time is part of the meaning. Publishing that ignores time turns owned cinema into wallpaper.
Doctrine
Non-fungibility has operational teeth. Each Folio piece locks a primary still and secondary stills. Those locks are written into the edition manifest with digests. A later “refresh” that silently swaps a cheaper image fails verification. The public URL must continue to resolve the claimed frame.
This is also why music and publishing twins may share provenance without sharing layout. The music living-still page and this Folio essay can both point at Above Clouds film; they must not be the same HTML with a subdomain paint job. Twin means shared origin, not cloned artifact.
Against the measurement loop
Auditing, probing, and re-counting keyframe usage are not publication. Publication is a finished artifact under a stable URL with a claim a reader can test by looking. Folio I exists to interrupt the loop that keeps measuring the estate instead of extending it.
